Airport security

This is probably not the best time to be setting off airport security, but what can one do when the medical reasons and repair are in fact the cause.

You see today i become almost the equivalent of the six million dollar man.
Today at about 8 a.m. i will be getting a new knee…. Ouch!

And about three months of pain will then subside to being able to walk again.

Now there are two metal parts in my legs to set off all the bells and whistles at the airport, which of course is going to mean a hand search. Make it a nice blond or a beautiful slim red-head.

I just love it when studies are done and these people actually come out and say that certain foods are not as bad for you as some other people say that they are.

The story below which you can read in it’s entirety by clicking on the link below, will tell you a lot of what i feel too.

The loaf of bread that they show is a chemically enriched loaf. How do i know?

Well as a professional baker of 53 years, one learns to read the crumb structure of the inside crust, as well as the outside walls of the bread and this picture has all the classic signs of a barely baked loaf with quite open crumb structure.

I find that many of the reports are made to accomplish a result. For instance Corn. some people say corn is not good for you. Well, who else needs it? The beef industry use it to feed cattle. The car industry use it to add to gasoline. So if those two industries can put you off eating it then there is way more for profit to others.

Check it out below.

St Patrick’s Day

In the bakery we can make use of every celebration and St Patrick’s Day March 17th is no different.

In Montreal Canada, the main road is often painted green overnight on March 16th.

So why not decorate cup cakes in a shamrock style, or make a loaf of bread with green color.

Of course one needs to have a rather predominant Irish clientele, but there are a fairly large number of people who enjoy part-taking in another countries celebrations.

We can also be making shortbread’s either in green or with a marking of a four leaf clover.

Cookies are a great way to support the St. Patrick’s Day too!

Eggs again getting cracked

I believe almost every food that people eat has at some time been ridiculed, put down as a problem, or blown up to be god’s creation to human kind.

Coffee was bad for you then all of a sudden coffee house sprung up and coffee is good, in fact there was a story that if one used coffee on the skin it was good for preventing a sun burn. I don’t know about that!

Then there was a story that tea was bad for you. Is it?

How about chocolate. Well it used to be said chocolate is bad for the heart yet now it is written that it is good. So who can tell.

The story URL below is another one of those power of suggestion articles as far as i am concerned.

Here’s what my text book says of the constituents of an egg.

Water in the white 86-87 %                                     Egg Content Graph
Water in the Yolk 50-50.5%
Water in the Whole Egg 73-75%
Protein in the white 12-12.7%
Protein in the Yolk 16-16.5%
Protein i n theWhole egg 12-14%
Fat in the white 0.25%
Fat in the Yolk 31-32%
Fat in the Whole egg 10-12%
Mineral matter 0.5-0.59%
Mineral matter Yolk 0.8-1.5%
Mineral matter Whole egg 1-1.2%

There are three parts to an egg, Shell, Yoke, White.

The shell averages 12%. The Yolk averages 30% and the White averages 58%
