The taste of a sandwich

Yesterday, i was in a pre-op consultation at the local hospital for an upcoming minor surgery.

The nurse recognized me as being the owner of the local bakery, but hadn’t seen me for some time and wondered why that was…

Well, after explaining that i have had a series of operations over the past 3 years, that conversation got around to bread.

The question was raised as to why supermarket store bought bread tasted like water?
